This is a part-time position. Shifts will be scheduled Monday-Sunday. Weekend shifts are split 7:30-1pm and 5pm-7pm Sat, and 7:30-11am and 4:30pm-6:30pm Sun; hours may vary based on patient needs. For this part-time position we are looking for someone primarily available Tuesday/Thursday 3:00-6:15pm as well as 2-3 weekends/month.
Duties:
- Feeding and caring for animals in the hospital
- Cleaning kennels and runs
- Bathing and shaving pets
- General hospital maintenance and cleaning
- Laundry
- Stocking and counting inventory
- Assisting with patient restraint
- Assisting clients to the car with their pets and purchases
- Assisting technicians with X-rays, laboratory tests and surgery clean up
- Recycling and errands
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Must enjoy helping animals and people
- High school diploma, GED or enrolled in high school
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs
- Excellent social skills
- Quick learner
- Hard worker with initiative (self-motivator)
- Flexible schedule – willing to work weekends
- Positive attitude
- Willingness to learn new things
$13.75/hour.
