2011Annual Pet Luau

In celebration of happy, healthy pets we welcomed Columbia to join us

for an afternoon of pet adventure! This is our story...

Our Luau included a tour through the hospital, starting with a picture of each puppy at our ever popular "photo booth".

Our hospital tour included both exam rooms, the laboratory, radiology (x-ray room), surgery preparation/treatment room, and surgery. We invited all to participate in a hospital quiz to test your pet health knowledge and questions were posted in each room throughout the hospital.  Congratulations to our hospital quiz champion, April Lynn, who received 100% on the quiz!

Musical Mats: Prance your way around our circle of doggie mats to the beat of some swingin' tunes- just be sure you're on a mat when the music stops!

One of this year's activities included a fun variation on musical chairs.  Mats were laid out for each dog participating and they went round and round to the beat of some summer tunes.  Congratulations to our winner!

Obstacle Course: If you and your canine companion can navigate these simple doggie obstacles you will be entered into a raffle for a super basket of goodies!

A new activity at the event was a simple obstacle course for the dogs.  They started by walking through a hoop, then they bobbed in and out of some weaving poles before finally walking up a plank and sitting on a low platform. Things turned out to be fairly challenging! Congratulations to everyone who completed the course.  Tucker was our outstanding champion!

Hot dog bobbing was a hot item :)

Tucker and Max cleaned us out several times!  Marcie tried to keep up with the boys.

The wadding pool was also a favorite on that warm afternoon.

Everyone enjoyed tasty snacks and a drink.

People were permitted occasional kabobs of meat and veggies while steadily supplying their pooch companions with homemade peanut butter biscuits.

Who will win the pig?!

Spear Throwing Contest: Take a walk on the wild side by participating in a "genuine" pig hunt!

Contestants signed up to throw a Nerf spear at one of our exotic watermelon pigs for a chance to win some great product prizes! The spear turned out to be a little heavy in the front, but we had some excellent throws by almost everyone present!

Congratulations to our winner!
