Dr. Susan Sappington

Dr. Sappington grew up just an hour down the road in Hermann, Missouri.  She graduated from Truman State University in Kirksville with a BS in Biology.   She married her high school sweetheart, Bryan, that summer just before heading off to veterinary school at the University of Missouri.  Upon graduation she joined a private practice just outside Kansas City working with cats, dogs, and exotic pets.  There she enjoyed excellent mentorship emphasizing quality medicine for a variety of species.

Dr. Sappington loved living in Columbia and everything the city has to offer, so she and her husband decided to move back with their two cats, Cleopatra and Helen of Troy.  She is excited to continue practicing quality medicine with Dr. Forbes and the excellent team at Rock Bridge Animal Hospital.

Dr. Sappington enjoys the challenges of bringing sick patients back to health, but also emphasizes good preventative medicine to help keep them healthy!
