Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your companions feeling their best:

 

Anesthesia:  We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients.  We have a state-of-the-art anesthesia monitoring monitoring unit to aid us in monitoring your pets vital signs during anesthetic procedures (blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, heart rhythm (EKG), temperature and oxygenation level (carbon dioxide levels and oxygen saturation)).  There is a veterinary assistant monitoring them the entire time.  They are also kept on a heated air warming blanket to help maintain their core body temperature while reducing the risk of burns. 

 

Bathing:  Routine and therapeutic bathing services are available.

 

Behavioral Counseling:  We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression.

 

Boarding:  We provide pet boarding as a service to our clients. All boarders receive personal attention from our caring staff. Pets may be checked in and picked up during regular business hours Monday through Saturday.  We do offer Sunday after hours discharges for a small fee.

 

Comprehensive Physical Examinations: Our caring and skilled veterinarians provide complete physical exams for our patients. Their thorough examinations address over seventeen body systems and functions of each pet! We also provide a handy examination report to go home with you, summarizing the doctor's findings for each area. 

 

Dentistry:  Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, digital dental X-rays, tooth extractions and minor oral surgery.  Proper oral health care can have a huge impact on the quality of your pets life as well as their health.

 

Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services:  Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.

 

Dietary Counseling:  We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance.

 

Individualized Flea Control Programs:  We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas in your house, in your yard and on your pet.

 

Laboratory:  Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.


Permanent identification: We offer HomeAgain microchipping.  We frequently have "stray" pets brought in that have lost their collar and when they don't have another form of permanent identification (such as microchipping) it is hard to find their proper home. 

 

Pharmacy:  We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos, flea and tick control products and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. We also carry a full line of prescription diets.

 

Radiology Services:  Our on-site, modern X-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders. 

 

Surgical Services:  Our surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures.

 

Vaccinations: Our veterinarians include important health vaccinations in conjunction with the total health plan for each patient. Vaccinations are recommended and administered according to the health needs of each patient, local laws, and with consideration for the lifestyle of each patient.
